Are you looking for an awesome part-time job you'll love?

WE ARE NOW HIRING DRESS SPECIALISTS! (Seasonal prep help position below)

Many of you have inquired this year, and it is finally official!!

We are looking for a few great DRESS SPECIALISTS to come join our team.

If you want a flexible job that is both challenging and rewarding, and feel you meet all of the qualifications below, please submit a resume to: dresscollectiveemployment@gmail.com.  We will offer select interviews in the near future to the most qualified applicants, and look forward to finding just the right team members for our fun, dynamic store!

  • MUST be available Monday-Saturday.  You will not be scheduled everyday, but will have several shifts per week.  During the busy homecoming, sweethearts, and prom seasons, you will be scheduled more often and will be required to work most Fridays and Saturdays, and before and after our store hours. Your days off will usually be Sunday and Wednesday.  Wednesdays we are closed to the public, but employees are scheduled to prep dresses on the busiest weeks (roughly 10 times per year).
  • MUST be able to occasionally work alone during slower months.
  • MUST recognize that your schedule will depend mainly on the high school dance schedules.  Because of our seasonal nature, there will be months when you will be needed a lot, and months when you won't be scheduled:

~Lots of hours required: August, September, February-April

                          ~Minimal hours: October-January, May

                          ~Time off: June, July

  • MUST be FRIENDLY, ENGAGING, HARD WORKING, and WILLING TO LEARN.  When you are at the store you are here to engage with our customers first and foremost.  We also assign times when you will help us with social media posting and activity.  Cleaning, organizing and keeping the store presentable will also be required.
  • MUST be RESPECTFUL and COURTEOUS.  Talking disrespectfully about a customer or rudely to a customer will not be tolerated.
  • MUST have reliable transportation and show up on time for your shifts.
  • MUST be willing to learn about dress styles, popular trends, and how to help girls find the right dress for their occasion.
  • MUST be willing to learn how to accurately take measurements for alterations.
  • MUST have good attention to detail and be able to get along well with others.
  • MUST have a good working knowledge of hand-sewing techniques, and be able to demonstrate them before being hired.  Ability to carefully reattach bead work, sew on hook and eyes, repair rips in delicate fabric, carefully use scissors and seam rippers, and a willingness to learn to perform simple alterations.
  • MUST be familiar with Instagram and other social media platforms.
  • MUST be a team player.  We are a small, family-owned business, and we desire to hire workers who will bring excitement and great customer interaction and service to our store.  You will be the face of DRESS COLLECTIVE, and you will help create a unique experience for our guests.  We only desire applications from those who will commit to always welcome, engage, and interact with each and every customer who comes to our store.
  • Compensation will be dependent on experience.

THANK YOU for applying.  Please be aware that we will offer interviews to those individuals that we feel are the most qualified to work at our store.  If you feel you would be a great worker, but lack a certain qualification from the above list, please feel free to explain to us why we should still consider offering you an interview when you submit your resume.  We will be happy to give further considerations.
